In the math time, Mr. Stevonson gave me some math challenge.
He said not many people got the right answer.
So it made me really interested. I wanted to solve the problem.
Here's the question :
'There are very large land and you sell the area to someone.
The girth must be 120m. And for each square meter, It costs 3000$.
How large it will be? '
He also gave me an example. I think this was the trick. :
'Look at the 30*4 square.
The dimension of it is 900. So it costs 900*3000=2700000$'
I have read the book before about Diagram. And it said 'circle is the largest shape '.
So I decided to calculate my answer with circle shape.
Solution:
To figure out the girth of circle, you should know formula first.
Circle's girth = 2*pie*radious.
Circle's area = pie*radious*radious
At first, I solved pie with 3 but Mr. Stevonson asked me to do it with 3.14.
Anyway 120=6.28*radious. So radious is about 19. (The number is too long so I rounded off)
So the area is 19*19*3.14= 1133.54
To figure the money, 3000*1133.54= 3400620.
I had to read the number to Mr. Stevonson.
Reading a long number was such a difficult job.
It was 3 million 4 hundred thousand 6 hundred and twenty.
Anyway I was the first(including my friends J and Angela) so Mr.Stevonson cheered us.
I love math though. It was such a nice time.
This must need a creative.
